Description

  • General description: Strontium carbonate is a weak base widely used as a starting material in the manufacture of glass cathode ray tubes, colorants in fireworks, phosphors for electroluminescent devices, superconductors, and various Sr-based compounds. It can also be used as a cocatalyst in photocatalytic composites, to expand their photoresponsive range.[1]
  • Application: Strontium carbonate can be used as a precursor to:Fabricate ceramic composites for n-type thermoelectrics such as SrTiO3–TiO2.[2] Prepare SrCO3/SrO systems for thermochemical energy storage application.[3]
