Description

  • General description: Poly(propylene glycol) (PPG) is a polyether. It is prepared by ring-opening polymerization of propylene oxide. PPG is less toxic and used as a dispersant in leather finishing, as a surfactant, wetting agent, and in drug formulations.
  • Application: Poly(propylene glycol) can be used as a:Corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in acid solution.Starting material to synthesize epoxy resin/polyurethane hybrid networks via frontal polymerization.It can also be used to prepare poly(PEG/PPG/PTMC urethane) thermogels for sustained release of doxorubicin.
