- General description: Poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) is a water-soluble cationic polymer that can be prepared from diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride via free radical polymerization.[1] It is a positively charged polyelectrolyte that finds application in various fields such as paper manufacturing, the mining industry, water treatment, protein immobilization, separation of biomolecules, removal of bacteria, flocculation of silica and latex particles, and nanocapsule shell formation.
