Description

  • General description: Product is a thiolated carboxylic-polyethylene . 4α;-sulfanyl—ω carboxy PEG (HS–PEG–COOH) heterobifunctional PEGs with functional end-groups of very different reactivity.[1] HS-PEG-COOH inhibits nonspecific binding to living cells. [2]
  • Application: HS-PEG-COOH may be tethered to the gold nanoparticle end during the fabrication of epidermal growth factor (EGF)-conjugated surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) nanoparticles. [2] HS-PEG-COOH was coated onto silicon-on-insulator photonic biosensor chips.[1] Quantum dots (QD)/ virus-like particles (VLPs) could be obtained only from HS-PEG-COOH-coated QDs.[3] It may be used to stabilize nanoparticles and prevent its aggregation.[4]
