Description

  • Mueller Hinton Agar was originally developed for the cultivation of pathogenic Neisseria
  • It is recommended for antimicrobial disc diffusion susceptibility testing of common, rapidly growing aerobic pathogens
  • Unsupplemented Mueller Hinton agar is not adequate for more fastidious organisms such as S
  • pneumonia
  • Tested according to, and meets the acceptance limits of, the current M6 protocol published by the CLSI
  • Complies with requirements of the World Health Organization and is specified in the FDA Bacteriological Analytical Manual for food testing
  • Manufactured to contain low levels of thymine and thymidine, with controlled levels of calcium and magnesium
  • Displays a cultural response to: Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Staphylococcus aureus.
