Description

  • General description: Taq DNA Polymerase is a thermostable enzyme derived from the thermophilic bacterium Thermus aquaticus. This enzyme is in a recombinant form, expressed in E. coli. Taq DNA polymerase enzyme can withstand high temperatures up to 95 °C without significant loss of activity. Taq DNA Polymerase is a magnesium ion-dependent enzyme. Taq DNA Polymerase possesses 5′→3′ DNA polymerase activity and 5′→3′ exonuclease activity.
  • Application: CORET PCR kit has been used for the amplification of genomic DNA during the study of genetic diversity in various species of Manilkara zapota.[1]
  • Quantity: Kit contains enough reagents for 250 units of Taq DNA polymerase.
  • Other Notes: The following reagents are required but not provided in the kit:Mineral Oil, M 8662 (optional)ThermocyclerPrimersDNA to be amplifiedChloroform, C 7559 (optional)
