• Biochem/physiol Actions: IgEs are glycoprotein antibodies that regulate immunological responses to allergies and infections. These immunoglobulins have been implicated in mediating Type I hypersensitivity reactions. Elevated IgE levels have been associated with hyper IgE syndrome and allergic asthma.
• Physical form: Solution in 0.05 M Tris, pH 8.0, containing 1% bovine serum albumin, 1 mM MgCl2 and 15 mM sodium azide
• Analysis Note: The antibody is tested for reactivity against myeloma IgE and allergy-elevated IgE.
