Description

• General description: IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Primary goat against target proteins are often used in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-goat IgGs can be useful tools for the analysis of target proteins. However, secondary antibodies may lack species specificity as they may bind to non-related Igs in the test preparation. This may lead to increased levels of background staining. Hence, use of monoclonals can effectively reduce background staining and increase the specificity of immunoassays. Monoclonal Anti-Goat/Sheep IgG-Alkaline Phosphatase recognizes goat and sheep IgGs. No cross-reactivity is observed with human IgGs or IgGs derived from the following species: guinea pig, rat, horse, dog, chicken, pig, mouse, rabbit, and cat.

• Application: Mouse monoclonal anti-goat/sheep IgG-alkaline phosphatase antibody has been used as a secondary antibody for ELISA assays at 1:4,000 and 1:15,210 dilutions. The product can also be used for IHC (1:40) and western blot applications (1:150,000).
