• Biochem/physiol Actions: DRAP1 (DR1-associated protein 1) regulates initial step of transcription by repressing the transcriptional signals. It interacts with Dr1 (Down-regulator of transcription 1) and forms a heterodimeric complex in the presence of histone fold motif at the amino terminus end. The heterodimeric Dr1-TBP-TATA motif complex finally represses the transcription.
