• General description: NCS1 (Neuronal calcium sensor 1) is a multispecific, calcium sensor belonging to the EF-hand calcium-binding protein superfamily. It is expressed in postsynaptic sites, such as somata and dendrites of Purkinje cells, stellate/basket cells and granule cells.
