Description

  • General description: Mas-related G protein-coupled receptor X2 (MRGPRX2) belonging to the class A GPCR/Mas-related gene family is expressed in sensory neurons, mast cells, and keratinocytes. It has seven transmembrane (TM) α-helices. MRGPRX2 mRNA is found at a high level in the skin. It is also detected in adipose tissue, esophagus, urinary bladder, and lungs. MRGPRX2 gene with two-exon is mapped on human chromosome 11p15.
