  • Specificity: Clone 1E10 is a ZooMAb® Rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects Zinc finger CCHC domain-containing protein 3 (ZCCHC3). It targets an epitope within 21 amino acids from the N-terminal half.
  • Immunogen: KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 21 amino acids from the N-terminal half of human Zinc finger CCHC domain-containing protein 3 (ZCCHC3).

  • Target description: Zinc finger CCHC domain-containing protein 3 (UniProt: Q9NUD5; also known as ZCCHC3) is encoded by the ZCCHC3 (also known as C20orf99) gene (Gene ID: 85364) in human. ZCCHC3, a CCHC-type zinc-finger protein, serves as a nucleic acid-binding protein involved in innate immune response to DNA and RNA viruses. It binds DNA and RNA in the cytoplasm and acts by promoting recognition of viral nucleic acids by virus sensors, such as DDX58/RIG-I, IFIH1/MDA5 and cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS). Also acts as a co-sensor for recognition of double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) by cGAS. Hence, it plays a role in innate immune response to cytosolic dsDNA and DNA virus. It is shown to directly bind to dsDNA and enhance the binding of cGAS to dsDNA. ZCCHC3-deficiency is reported to inhibit dsDNA- and DNA virus-triggered induction of downstream effector genes and severely impair the induction of serum cytokines. Mice deficient in ZCCHC3 are shown to be more susceptible to lethal herpes simplex virus type 1 or vaccinia virus infection. Two isoforms of ZZCHC3 have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
