• Specificity: Clone 2C4 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 11A (Bcl11A). It targets an epitope within the C-terminal half.
• Immunogen: His-tagged recombinant fragment corresponding to 207 amino acids from the internal region of human B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 11A (Bcl11A).
• Application: Anti-Bcl11A, clone 2C4 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1518, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically targets Bcl11A and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.
• Target description: B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 11A (UniProt: Q9H165; also known as BCL-11A, B-cell CLL/lymphoma 11A, COUP-TF-interacting protein 1, Ecotropic viral integration site 9 protein homolog, EVI-9, Zinc finger protein 856) is encoded by the BCL11A (also known as CTIP1, EVI9, KIAA1809, ZNF856) gene (Gene ID: 53335) in human. Bcl11A is a zinc-finger transcription factor that is involved in the generation of B-cell progenitor cells. It contains six C2H2 type zinc finger regions and recognizes TGACCA motif through zinc-finger domain. It is expressed at high levels in brain, spleen thymus, bone marrow and testis. Its expression has also been reported in CD34-positive myeloid precursor cells, B-cells, monocytes and megakaryocytes. Its expression is tightly regulated during B-cell development. Several isoforms of Bcl11A have been reported. In adult erythroid cells, two isoforms are specifically expressed: Isoform 1, also known as Bcl11A-XL, is the more abundant form; Isoform 2, also known as Bcl11A-L, does not have the terminal zinc-finger region. Both these isoforms are predominantly located in the nucleus. Bcl11A associates with the BAF SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complex. It is involved in hematopoiesis and brain development and is an essential factor in B-cell formation in fetal liver. Chromosomal aberrations involving BCL11A are associated with B-cell malignancies. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
• Reconstitution: 0.3 mg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
