Description

  • General description: We are committed to bringing you greener alternative products, which adhere to one or more of The 12 Principles of Green Chemistry. This antibody is Preservative-free, produced without the harm or sacrifice of animals and exceptionally stable to allow for ambient shipping and storage if needed and thus aligns with "Waste Prevention", "Designing Safer Chemicals" and "Design for Energy Efficiency". Click here for more information.
  • Specificity: Clone 1F16 is a ZooMAb® Rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects c-Jun N-terminal kinase 2 (JNK2). It targets an epitope within 17 amino acids from the C-terminal region.
  • Immunogen: KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 17 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human c-Jun N-terminal kinase 2 (JNK2).
  • Application: Quality Control TestingEvaluated by Western Blotting in HEK293 cell lysate.Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution of this antibody detected JNK2 in HEK293 cell lysate.Tested applicationsWestern Blotting Analysis: A 1:10,000 dilution from a representative lot detected JNK2 in K562 and Mouse brain tissue lysates.Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected JNK2 in HeLa cells.Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected JNK2 in human cerebral cortex tissue sections.Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user
  • Target description: Mitogen-activated protein kinase 9 (UniProt: P45984; also known as MAP kinase 9, MAPK9, Stress-activated protein kinase 1a, SAPK1a, Stress-activated protein kinase JNK2, c-Jun N-terminal kinase 2) is encoded by the MAPK9 (also known as JNK2, PRKM9, SAPK2, SAPK1A) gene (Gene ID: 5601) in human. SAPK/JNK is a serine/threonine-protein kinase that is involved in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, transformation, and programmed cell death. It is activated in response to extracellular stimuli such as proinflammatory cytokines or physical stress. Both JNK1 and JNK2 contain a TXY motif (aa 183-185) that contains the threonine and tyrosine residues whose phosphorylation activates these kinases. Protein kinase domain of SAPK/JNK is localized to amino acids 26-321. Phosphorylation and activation of SAPK/JNK is achieved by two dual specificity kinases, MAP2K7 and MAP2K4. Following their activation SAPK/JNK phosphorylates several transcription factors, primarily components of AP-1 such as JUN, JDP2, and ATF2 and thus regulates AP-1 transcriptional activity. It promotes apoptotic cell death in stressed cells by phosphorylating key regulatory factors including p53/TP53 and Yes-associates protein YAP1. This ZooMAbZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
