• Specificity: Clone 1G16 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects ZRSR2. It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the N-terminal region.

• Target description: U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein auxiliary factor 35 kDa subunit-related protein 2 (UniProt: Q15696; also known as CCCH type zinc finger, RNA-binding motif and serine/arginine rich protein 2, Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-20, U2(RNU2) small nuclear RNA auxiliary factor 1-like 2, U2AF35-related protein, URP) is encoded by the ZRSR2 (also known as U2AF1-RS2, U2AF1L2, U2AF1RS2, URP) gene (Gene ID: 8233) in human. ZRSR2 is a widely expressed protein that serves as an essential splicing factor involved in 3′ splice-site recognition as a component of both the major and minor spliceosomes that mediate the splicing of U2-type (major) and U12-type (minor) introns, respectively. It is recruited to U12 pre-mRNAs in an ATP-dependent manner and is required for assembly of the pre-spliceosome, a precursor to other spliceosomal complexes. For U2-type introns, it is selectively and specifically required for the second step of splicing. ZRSR2-deficient cells exhibit reduced proliferation potential and distinct alterations in myeloid and erythroid differentiation in vitro. Somatic loss-of-function mutations in ZRSR2 are reported in about ~5% subjects with myelodysplastic syndrome. Some mutations are also associated with other hematological diseases, such as chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, refractory anemia with ringed sideroblasts, secondary acute myeloid leukemia, and blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
• Reconstitution: 300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
