• Specificity: Clone 1F5-H1 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects C-C motif chemokine 20 (CCL20). It targets an epitope within 16 amino acids from the C-terminal half.
• Immunogen: KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 16 amino acids from the C-terminal half of human C-C motif chemokine 20 (CCL20).

• Target description: C-C motif chemokine 20 (UniProt: P78556; also known as Beta-chemokine exodus-1, CC chemokine LARC, Liver and activation-regulated chemokine, Macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha, MIP-3-alpha, Small-inducible cytokine A20) is encoded by the CCL20 (also known as LARC, MIP3A, SCYA20) gene (Gene ID: 6364) in human. CCL20 is a secreted protein that is synthesized with a signal peptide (aa 1-26), which is subsequently cleaved off to produce the mature protein. The mature CCL20 can be further cleaved into 1-67, 1-64, and 2-70 fragments. It is expressed in a variety of human tissues and by a large number of immune cells. It is induced by bacterial lipopolysaccharides, TNFα, and Interferon-γ. It serves as a ligand for C-C-chemokine receptor 6 (CCR6). Its binding o CCR6 induces a strong chemotactic response and mobilization of intracellular calcium ions. CCL20-CCR6 pair is responsible for chemotaxis of dendritic cells, effector/memory T-cells and B-cells. CCL20 is reported to bind to a shallow extracellular pocket of CCR6 where the N-terminal tyrosine 27 and leucine 38 of CCR6 wrap onto the globular core of CCL20. It is shown to be highly active on resting memory T cells, indicating that it may be important for their recruitment to inflammatory sites early in an immune response. CCL20 is also involved in the recruitment of both the pro-inflammatory IL17 producing helper T-cells (Th17) and the regulatory T-cells (Treg) to sites of inflammation and is required for optimal migration of thymic natural regulatory T cells (nTregs) and DN1 early thymocyte progenitor cells. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
• Reconstitution: 300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
