• Specificity: Clone 3K22 is a ZooMAb rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that detects Calretinin. It targets an epitope with in the internal region.
• Immunogen: GST/His-tagged recombinant fragment corresponding to 99 amino acids from the internal region of rat Calretinin.
• Application: Anti-Calretinin, clone 3K22, ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB5054, is a recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody that detects Calretinin and has been tested for use in Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.
• Target description: Calretinin (UniProt: P47728; also known as CR) is encoded by the Calb2 gene (Gene ID: 117059) in rat. Calretinin belongs to the calbindin protein family and acts as a calcium-binding protein. It is expressed in both central and peripheral nervous system and is found abundantly in auditory neurons. It is involved in regulating cytosolic calcium ion concentrations and has six calcium-binding domains known as EF-hands. Its expression is shown to be regulated at the level of transcription by nuclear respiratory factor 1 (NRF-1) and E2F2 transcription factors. In rat striatum calretinin neurons form a distinct subset of medium-sized (7- 20 μm), aspiny, GABAergic interneurons. Calretinin can also serve as an important differential diagnostic tool for cystic and solid ameloblastic tumors. This ZooMAb recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
• Reconstitution: 120 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
