- Application: For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.Human RAGE / AGER ELISA kit has been used for the quantitative measurement of RAGE in cerebrospinal fluid.[1]Please refer to the attached General ELISA KIT Procedure (sandwich, competitive & Indirect ELISA)
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Advanced glycosylation end-product specific receptor (AGER) or RAGE is part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface molecules. The soluble form of the protein has a function in the Wnt pathway. RAGE has a role in the development of inflammatory and cellular damage, as well as cellular toxicity. It has been associated with diabetic atherosclerosis. AGER/RAGE also modulates cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis.[2][3][4][5](6}
