Description

  • General description: Zeaxanthin is a carotenoid that belongs to the group of xanthophylls. A dihydroxy derivative of β-carotene, it is found in vegetables and fruits, besides the eyes and skin of humans. It is known to show anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and neuroprotective properties.
