Description

  • Store vial at -20°C prior to opening
  • Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage
  • Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing
  • Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature
  • This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid
  • Dilute only prior to immediate use
  • Anti-Angiopoietin 1 is directed against mouse angiopoietin-1 and shows no reactivity with mouse angiopoietin-2
  • This reagent cross-reacts with human angiopoietin 1
  • Partially cross reactivity is noted with human angiopoietin 2
  • Angiopoietins are proteins with important roles in vascular development and angiogenesis
  • All angiopoietins bind with similar affinity to an endothelial cell-specific tyrosine-protein kinase receptor
  • The protein encoded by this gene is a secreted glycoprotein that activates the receptor by inducing its tyrosine phosphorylation
  • It plays a critical role in mediating reciprocal interactions between the endothelium and surrounding matrix and mesenchyme
  • The protein also contributes to blood vessel maturation and stability, and may be involved in early development of the heart.
