Description
- The C34-3448 antibody reacts with mouse chemokine receptor CD195 (also known as CCR5), a member of the β - chemokine receptor family
- CD195 regulates lymphocyte chemotaxis activation and transendothelial migration during inflammation
- It signals a response to at least three chemokines: RANTES and macrophage inflammatory protein-1 (MIP-1) α and β
- In the mouse system, the gene for CD195 has been mapped to chromosome 9
- CD195 mRNA is expressed in heart, spleen and liver tissues, and by macrophages and T-lymphocytes
- The immunogen used to generate the C34- 3448 hybridoma was a KLH-conjugated peptide consisting of amino acids 9-30 of mouse CD195 (CCR5).
