- The Mik-β3 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to CD122
- CD122 is also known as IL-2/15Rβbecause it is the shared p75 subunit (IL-12Rβ/IL-15Rβ) of heteromeric receptors for IL-2 and IL-15
- CD122 is a 70-75 kD type I transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on thymocytes, T cells, B cells, NK cells, monocytes, hematopoietic progenitor cells, fetal liver cells and stromal cells
- The CD122 plays roles in the activation, differentiation and proliferation of various cell types including T cells, B cells and NK cells
- The antibody was conjugated to BD Horizon™ BV786 which is part of the BD Horizon Brilliant™ Violet family of dyes
- This dye is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 with an Ex Max of 405nm and an acceptor dye with an Em Max at 786nm
- BD Horizon BV786 can be excited by the violet laser and detected in a filter used to detect Cy™7-like dyes (eg, 780/60nm filter)
- BV786 is a tandem fluorochrome of BD Horizon BV421 and an acceptor dye with an emission maximum at 786 nm
- BV786 offers a bright choice for the 6th detector off the violet laser.
