Test Specificity

Recognizes a single chain glycoprotein of 105/120kDa, identified as CD30/Ki-1. CD30 is synthesized as a 90kDa precursor, which is processed in the Golgi complex into a membrane-bound phosphorylated mature 105/120kDa glycoprotein. In Hodgkins disease, CD30/Ki-1 antigen is expressed by mononuclear-Hodgkin and multinucleated Reed-Sternberg cells. It is also expressed by the tumor cells of a majority of anaplastic large cell lymphomas as well as by a varying proportion of activated T and B cells. This monoclonal antibody distinguishes large cell lymphomas derived from activated lymphoid cells from histiocytic malignancies and lymphomas derived from resting and precursor lymphoid cells or from anaplastic carcinomas. About one third of the Ki-1 positive lymphomas lack the leukocyte common antigen (CD45).

DyLight 488

Formulation:
50 mM sodium borate with 0.05% sodium azide

Gene Symbols:

Immunogen:
Human colon carcinoma cells

Primary or Secondary:

Test Specificity:
This antibody recognizes a carbohydrate epitope present on tumor-associated Lewis Y antigen (Fucalpha1-2Galbeta1-4/3[Fucalpha1-3/4]GlcNAcbeta-). Lewis Y is expressed in large bowel tumors and colorectal carcinomas. It may be useful in the classification of human renal and bladder tumors. The Lewis Y antigen has been evaluated as a clinical marker for the diagnosis and prognosis of cholangiocarcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma and breast cancer.

Antigen:
Integrin beta 3/CD61

Classification:
Monoclonal

Conjugate:
DyLight 488

Formulation:
50 mM sodium borate with 0.05% sodium azide

Gene Symbols:
ITGB3

Immunogen:
Recombinant human Integrin beta 3/CD61 protein (Uniprot: P05106)

Primary or Secondary:
Primary

Test Specificity:
Reacts with human integrin beta3 (GPIIIa, vitronectin receptor beta chain). It associates with the IIb-chain (CD41) to form the GpIIb/GpIIIa complex (CD41/CD61).The CD41/CD61 complex appears early in megakaryocyte maturation. The activated CD41/CD61 complex is a receptor for von Willebrand factor, soluble fibrinogen, fibronectin, vitronectin and thrombospondin. It plays a central role in platelet activation and aggregation. The CD51/CD61 is implicated in tumor metastasis and adenoviral infection. The antibody detects platelets in smears of blood and bone marrow, as well as megakaryocytes in frozen sections and cell smears. The antibody is useful for classification of megakaryoblastic leukemia.

DyLight 488

Formulation:
50 mM sodium borate with 0.05% sodium azide

Gene Symbols:

Immunogen:

Primary or Secondary:

Test Specificity:
Reacts with a carbohydrate determinant, identified as CDw78 (Workshop V; Code CDw78.2). Epitope recognized by this monoclonal antibody and Leu21 is the same. It is present on some immature and some peripheral blood B cells, and some B cell lines. Its expression is increased after B-cell activation in vitro. CDw78 is also found on tissue macrophages and on epithelial cells, but not on T cells, NK cells, monocytes, granulocytes and myeloid tissues. It appears that CDw78 is a determinant on a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II subpopulation.
