Description

  • Antibody detects endogenous levels of Casein Kinase 1 alpha only when phosphorylated at Thr321
  • CNSK1A1 (CK1 alpha 1) is a member of the casein kinase I (CKI) gene family, which encodes serine/threonine kinases that preferentially phosphorylate acidic substrates
  • CKI proteins are monomeric, ranging from 25 to 55 kD, and are found in the nuclei, cytoplasm, and membrane fractions of eukaryotic cells
  • It can phosphorylate a large number of proteins
  • Participates in Wnt signaling
  • Phosphorylates CTNNB1 at 'Ser-45'
  • May phosphorylate PER1 and PER2
  • May play a role in segregating chromosomes during mitosis.
