- It is through its PDZ domains that LNX2 forms oligomers and interacts with some of its target proteins
- LNX2 is best studied as a E3 ubiquitin ligase that also contains the NPXY motifs which allows binding to the Numb protein
- This interaction has been shown to be responsible for ubiquitination of Numb, which prevents the proteasomal degradation of Notch intracellular domain (NICD) and thus modulates the Notch signaling pathway.
