- General description: 10:0 PC (DDPC/1,2-didecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a zwitterionic and shorter-acyl chain phospholipid.[1]
- Application: 10:0 PC (DDPC/1,2-didecanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) may be used: as an internal standard to measure lipid metabolites for metabolic profiling using hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC)[2]to prepare lipid bilayer to reconstitute Vpu (membrane protein) and for biophysical studies[3] to prepare phospholipid membrane to study lipid-induced conformation of a 27-residue Cry4Ba-α7 peptide[1]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: High or low level of phosphatidylcholine (PC) can affect energy metabolism in several organelles.[4]
