- Application: Bradykinin Fragment 1-7 has been used as an external calibrant/standard in the matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) analysis of protein spots.[2][3]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Bradykinin (BK) is a pro-inflammatory mediator and a neuromediator. It modulates several vascular and renal functions. Bradykinin (BK) plays a key role in inducing vascular permeability and mitogenesis. It helps to activate the liberation of nitric oxide in inflammatory and cancer tissues.[4]
