Description

  • General description: Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) is a vasodilator.[1]
  • Application: Prostaglandin E1 may be used in cell culture to protect human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) from injury induced by hydrogen peroxide.
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) aids in the relaxation of corporal cavernosal tissue.[2] It helps to preserve the patency of the ductus arteriosus.[1][3] It is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED).[4]
  • Physical form: powder-0 °C; stock-frozen in working aliquots, avoid repeated freeze/thaw
