Description

  • General description: N,N-Dimethyldodecylamine N-oxide (DDAO), an amphoteric surfactant, is nonionic at high pH. The surfactant headgroup of amphoteric surfactants may carry positive and negative charges as the net charge is pH sensitive.[1]
  • Application: N,N-Dimethyldodecylamine N-oxide solution has been used: to examine the individual components of solvable for the extraction of few-layer graphene (FLG)and graphene oxide (GO) from complex organic matricesas a component of wash buffer, elution buffer, and anion loading buffer for the purification of the double mutant reaction centers (DM RCs) in the extraction of bilirubin and biliverdin by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC)
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: N,N-Dimethyldodecylamine N-oxide (DDAO) is preferred for protein studies. It is also frequently utilized for the extraction of membrane proteins.[1]
