  • Lauryldimethylamine-N-oxide (LDAO) is a zwitterionic surfactant that possesses unique properties for solubilization and stabilization of biomolecules, particularly membrane proteins
  • LDAO shows particular utility in native mass spectrometry (MS) to study the intact structure and non-covalent interactions of proteins and protein complexes
  • Incorporation of LDAO into sample preparation can help maintain the integrity of non-covalent interactions, such as protein-protein or protein-ligand interactions, during the transfer from solution to gas phase
