Description
- Application: Facade®-EPC has been used to produce bicelles for nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments.[1][2] It may be used in crystallization of cytochrome P450 2B subfamily proteins, CYP2B35 and CYP2B37.[3]
- Biochem/physiol Actions: Facade® EPC/FA-7 (3α-hydroxy-7α,12α-di-(((2-(trimethylamino)ethyl)phosphoryl)ethyloxy)-cholane) having phosphocholine groups helps in preparing smaller micelles than the facial amphiphiles (FAs) with nonionic sugar groups.[4]
