- General description: Ganglioside GQ1b is a ganglioside, which contains tetra-sialosyl group and a disialosyl group attached to the internal galactose.[1] Ganglioside is a glycosphingolipid and is localized in the cell membrane and mammalian brain.[1][2] It is attached to the external leaflet of the lipid bilayer via a ceramide moiety.[1]
