Description

  • Application: Sucrose has been used:in plant cultivation and regeneration[1]cryopreservation[2]clear unobstructed brain/body imaging cocktails and computational analysis (CUBIC)[3]
  • Biochem/physiol Actions: Sucrose, a non-reducing disaccharide is abundantly present in photosynthetic organisms including plants.[4] It is the main constituent of molasses. Sucrose is used in food industry as liquid sugar. It is also a component of foodstuffs and beverages.[5] In higher plants, sucrose participates in growth and development. It is an important human macronutrient. Sucrose is used in foods as a sweetening agent.[4]
