Description

  • General description: Palladium on alumina (Pd/Al2O3) (1 wt % loading, powder) is a widely utilized catalyst that can be prepared by wet impregnation of alumina pellets with palladium chloride.[1] It can also be prepared by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) by utilizing the precursor solution of aluminum sec-butoxide and palladium acetylacetonate.[2]
  • Application: Pd/Al2O3 can be used as a catalyst in the enantioselective hydrogenation reaction.[2] It can also be potentially used in the formation of an automotive catalytic converter to improve the air quality of urban environments.[3][4]
