- General description: Pyridinium dichromate is a pyridinium salt and strong oxidizing agent to convert primary alcohols and secondary alcohols to aldehydes and ketones respectively.[1]
- Application: Oxidizing agent for conversion of primary alcohols to aldehydes and ketones,[2] acetals to esters,[3] and didehydroketones to enones[4] in the presence of tert-butyl hydroperoxide (cat. no. 213128).
