  • Specificity: Clone 3I9 is a ZooMAb® recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically detects XRCC4. It targets an epitope within 17 amino acids from the C-terminus.

  • Target description: DNA repair protein XRCC4 (Uniprot: Q13426; also known as X-ray repair cross-complementing protein 4) is encoded by gene XRCC4 (Gene ID; 7518) in human. The Primary localization of this protein is in Nucleus (chromosomes) but, it translocates from the nucleus to the cytoplasm following cleavage by caspase-3 (CASP3). XRCC4 is known to form a complex with DNA ligase IV, another key enzyme in the NHEJ process, and is essential for the ligation of broken DNA ends and also promotes its catalytic activity. The protein (encoded by this gene) functions together with DNA ligase IV and the DNA-dependent protein kinase in the repair of DNA double-strand break by non-homologous end joining and the completion of V(D)J recombination events. The non-homologous end-joining pathway is required both for normal development and for suppression of tumors. Mutations in XRCC4 can lead to defective DNA repair and increased genomic instability, highlighting its significance in maintaining genomic integrity and preventing diseases such as cancer and immunodeficiency. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our proprietary technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.
  • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
