- Application: Potassium carbonate sesquihydrate can be used as a sorbent for the removal of CO2 from flue gas in precombustion process.[1] It may be employed as a base in the cross-coupling of benzene boronic acid with benzoyl chloride in the presence of deposited Pd catalysts to give benzophenone.[2]It may also be used as one of the reaction components in the preparation of:1,2,3-triethylimidazolium[3]1,2,3-triethyl-4-methylimidazolium[3]2-ethyl-1,3,4-trimethylimidazolium[4]
