Description

  • General description: Sodium sulfate decahydrate (Glauber′s salt, mirabilite, Na2SO4·10H2O) is the decahydrate salt of sodium sulfate. Its crystal structure has been investigated by single-crystal neutron diffraction studies.[1] Its crystallization enthalpy has been evaluated.[2] It can be synthesized by reacting MnSO4, thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylic acid and sodium glutamate.[3]
  • Application: Nanoscale Stabilization Mechanism of Sodium Sulfate Decahydrate at Polyelectrolyte Interfaces: Discusses the stabilization mechanisms at the nanoscale, providing insights into sodium sulfate decahydrate′s applications in polyelectrolyte-enhanced processes, relevant in materials science and engineering (Akamo et al., 2024).
