Thermo Scientific™ Arcobacter Broth Base (Dehydrated)

Description

• Selectively enrich Arcobacter species with Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Acrobacter Broth Base (Dehydrated) when used with either CAT Selective Supplement(SR0174) or CCDA Selective Supplement (SR0155)
• Arcobacter Broth is intended for use with Cefoperazone, Amphotericin B, Teicoplanin (CAT) Selective Supplement (SR0174) as a selective enrichment broth for the growth of Arcobacter species and with the more selective CCDA (SR0155) for the selective enrichment of Arcobacter butzleri
• Arcobacters are micro aerophilic, Gram-negative rods, which were formerly classified as Campylobacter 1
• Arcobacter butzleri, Arcobacter cryaerophilus, and Arcobacter skirrowii have been associated with disease in humans 2,3 , and typically are isolated from fecal samples
• Specifically designed to provide the ideal growth conditions for Arcobacter Selective for Arcobacter species
