• Selectively isolate and differentiate Salmonella species other than Salmonella typhi from food and other materials with Thermo Scientific™ Remel™ Brilliant Green Agar
• The medium is recommended by the American Public Health (APHA) for the recovery of Salmonella from food products 1
• Salmonella infection (salmonellosis) is a common bacterial disease that affects the intestinal tract
• Salmonella bacteria typically live in animal and human intestines and are shed through feces
• Humans become infected most frequently through contaminated water or food
• Use Brilliant Green Agar for isolation of salmonellae other than Salmonella typhi
• Selective: brilliant green in the medium inhibits the growth of non-target organisms
• Easy-to-read: Salmonella colonies are easy to read as they range from reddish to pink to nearly white in color with red zone
