Description

• General description: Fibronectin (FN) is involved in many cellular processes, including tissue repair, embryogenesis, blood clotting, and cell migration/adhesion. Fibronectin exists in two main forms: 1) as an insoluble glycoprotein dimer that serves as a linker in the ECM (extracellular matrix), and; 2) as a soluble disulphide linked dimer found in the plasma (plasma FN). The plasma form is synthesized by hepatocytes, and the ECM form is made by fibroblasts, chondrocytes, endothelial cells, macrophages, as well as certain epithelial cells.
• Specificity: Other species have not been tested.
• Immunogen: Purified rat plasma fibronectin.
• Application: Anti-Fibronectin Antibody detects level of Fibronectin & has been published & validated for use in ELISA & WB.
• Quality: Routinely evaluated by Western Blot on normal rat serum.Western Blot Analysis: 0.05 μg/mL - 1 μg/mL antibody detected fibronectin in 15 μL of normal rat serum.
