• General description: Glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase (QPCT) is an enzyme localized in the mammalian brain. The gene encoding it is present on the chromosome 2p22.2.
• Immunogen: Glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase precursor recombinant protein epitope signature tag (PrEST)

• Biochem/physiol Actions: Glutaminyl-peptide cyclotransferase (QPCT) catalyzes the N-terminal pyroglutamate (pGlu) formation from glutaminyl residues. This process which occurs for many bioactive peptides, hormones and chemokines, protects them from degradation.
