Description

  • General description: The gene KLF17 (Kruppel like factor 17) is mapped to human chromosome 1p34. The protein has a conserved DNA binding domain (DBD) containing C2H2 Kruppel like zinc fingers. It belongs to the Sp/KLF (specificity protein/Kruppel like factor) zinc finger protein family.[1]
  • Immunogen: Krueppel-like factor 17 recombinant protein epitope signature tag (PrEST)
  • Application: Anti-KLF17 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project . Each antibody is tested by immunohistochemistry against hundreds of normal and disease tissues. These images can be viewed on the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) site by clicking on the Image Gallery link.   • Biochem/physiol Actions: KLF17 (Kruppel like factor 17) interacts with the G/C and CACCC boxes of specific genes and is involved in transcription. KLF17 inhibits cancer cell metastasis, by suppressing the transcription of ID1 (inhibitor of DNA binding 1). It is downregulated in breast cancer, lung adenocarcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma.[1]
