• Biochem/physiol Actions: CD300e molecule (also known as IREM-2) is mapped to chromosome 17q25.1. It encodes for a 205 amino acid that contains an extracellular region comprising an Ig-like domain and a transmembrane region with a positively charged amino acid residue (lysine). It is a novel activating receptor of the Ig-superfamily in the monocytic lineage. This protein functions as an activating receptor capable of regulating the innate immune response in myeloid cells.
