• General description: The mouse monoclonal antibody 10.1 recognizes alpha subunit of CD64/FcgammaRI, a 72 kDa single chain type I glycoprotein, that is expressed on monocytes/macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated granulocytes.
• Immunogen: Rheumatoid synovial fluid cells and fibronectin purified human monocytes
• Application: Cluster of differentiation 64 (CD64) has been implicated in various immunological processes such as phagocytosis, the clearance of immune complexes and the secretion of immunological mediators. In addition, it also facilitates antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, the modulation of B-cell differentiation and transcytosis of IgG across the epithelial layer. Neutrophil CD64 serves as a potent diagnostic marker for bacterial infection and neonatal sepsis.
• Biochem/physiol Actions: The cluster of differentiation 64 (CD64), also known as Fc fragment of IgG receptor Ia (FCGR1A), gene is mapped to human chromosome lq21.2--q21.3. The gene codes for a 72 kDa glycoprotein that is constitutively expressed on human monocytes and macrophages.
