• General description: CD3E (CD3e molecule) gene is mapped to human chromosome 11q23.3. This gene encodes fora subunit of T-cell regulator (TCR) protein complex. It possesses IgG (immunoglobulin G)-like extracelluar domain at the N-terminal, a transmembrane domain, a peptide bridge and an immunoreceptor tyrosine-based activation motif (ITAM) towards the cytoplasm. The protein also contains basic residue-rich sequence (BRS).
