• Target description: Probable peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase (UniProt: Q86Y79; also known as EC:3.1.1.29, Pth) is encoded by the PTRH1 (also known as C9orf115) gene (Gene ID: 138428) in human. Peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase (PTRH) is a carboxylic ester hydrolase that releases tRNA from the premature translation termination product peptidyl-tRNA by cleaving the ester bond between the C-terminal end of the peptide and the 2 - or 3 -hydroxyl of the ribose at the end of the tRNA. During the protein translation process, a significant proportion of the ribosomes that initiate mRNA readout do not reach the stop codon and peptidyl-tRNA molecules may dissociate from the mRNA template causing a premature end of the process. Accumulation of peptidyl-tRNAs reduces the efficiency of translation by sequestering tRNAs and impairing the initiation. Action of PTRH relieves this inefficiency. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. • Physical form: Purified recombinant mouse monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
• Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
