  • Target description: Ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 11 (UniProt: Q6UB99; also known as Ankyrin repeat-containing cofactor 1, ANKRD11) is encoded by the ANKRD11 (also known as ANCO1) gene (Gene ID: 29123) in human. ANKRD11 is a large nuclear protein that is shown to localize to chromatin during prometaphase. Its expression levels are regulated during the cell cycle, reaching maximal levels at M phase and then rapidly declining after late M phase. It contains four Ankyrin repeats in its N-terminal region. ANKRD11 plays an important role during neural development by modulating histone acetylation and gene expression and thus proliferation of embryonic neural precursors and the genesis and positioning of newborn neurons. It may recruit histone deacetylases to the p160 coactivators/nuclear receptor complex to inhibit ligand-dependent transactivation. Knockdown of ANKRD11 gene in developing murine or human cortical neural precursors results in decreased proliferation, reduced neurogenesis, and aberrant neuronal positioning. Mutations in ANKRD11 have been linked with KBG syndrome that is characterized by macrodontia, distinctive craniofacial features, short stature, skeletal anomalies, global developmental delay, seizures, and intellectual disability. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals.   • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.
  • Reconstitution: 300 μg/mL after reconstitution at 25 μL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
  • Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
