• Specificity: Clone 5I2 is a ZooMAb® rabbit recombinant monoclonal antibody that specifically detects CXCL12/SDF-1. It targets an epitope within 19 amino acids from the C-terminal region.
• Immunogen: KLH-conjugated linear peptide corresponding to 19 amino acids from the C-terminal region of human CXCL12/SDF-1.

• Target description: Stromal cell-derived factor 1 (UniProt: P48061; also known as SDF-1, hSDF-1, C-X-C motif chemokine 12, Intercrine reduced in hepatomas, IRH, hIRH, Pre-B cell growth-stimulating factor, PBSF) is encoded by the CXCL12 (also known as SDF1, SDF1A, SDF1B) gene (Gene ID: 6387) in human. CXCL12 is a secreted protein that plays an important role in several physiological and pathological processes, including embryogenesis, hematopoiesis, angiogenesis, and inflammation. Following its synthesis, it can cleave into (aa 3-67) and β (aa 3-72) forms that display reduced chemotactic activities. CXCL12 activates chemokine receptor CXCR4 to induce a rapid and transient rise in the level of intracellular calcium ions and chemotaxis. It displays chemoattractant activity on T-lymphocytes and monocytes. It is known to activate and induce migration of hematopoietic progenitor and stem cells, endothelial cells, and most leukocytes. • Physical form: Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS, 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.
• Reconstitution: 300 µg/mL after reconstitution at 25 µL per vial. Please refer to guidance on suggested starting dilutions and/or titers per application and sample type.
• Storage and Stability: Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
