- General description: 3,3′,5,5′-Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) is an electrochemical substrate for low level detection of horse radish peroxidase (HRP).[1] It is a highly sensitive and dual function substrate, since it produces both soluble and insoluble reaction products. It has rapid reaction rate and it is suitable for on-line kinetic analysis.[2] It does not possess carcinogenic properties.[3]
